Archbishop Hughes' Letter Extending the Year of the Eucharist

This letter from our Archbishop explains Pope Benedict XVI's authorization for New Orleans
to extend Year of the Eucharist through the year 2007. He also explains plenary indulgences
granted during that time.

Hope Monstrance & Papal Blessing
|
The Hope Monstrance, rescued from the devastation of Katrina flood waters, restored,
and brought to Rome for a papal blessing by Pope Benedict XVI, traveled the
Archdiocese during the Year of the Eucharist 2006/2007 as a symbol of HOPE to all people.
A Plenary Indulgence was made available to those present at these events (for individuals properly disposed.)
