The criteria for the Archdiocesan Web Server is as follows:  

Setup Cost (one-time fee)  (form must be received before space will be allocated.)	$50.00 (We will establish 10 MB of disk space, on our server, for each request, A Request for Web Hosting
Monthly Hosting Cost	$  5.00 per 5MB of disk space per month (after the initial 10 MB)

Additional disk space will be allocated in 5 MB increments. 

The department, school or parish is responsible for designing and updating their own web site files. Internet Services can recommend people who will help design user web sites, if asked. The web sites that are to be hosted by the Archdiocese of New Orleans web server will be monitored for advertisements, per the policy that was sent out by Msgr. Rodi. Advertisements are not to appear on any Archdiocesan school, parish or department web site.

 If your school, office or parish would like the Archdiocese to host their website, please fill out the Request For Web Hosting Services Form, which can be accessed by pressing the button below and send it to isd@archdiocese-no.org.

There are two ways to have a web site accessed on the Archdiocese server: through a domain name or through the Archdiocese web itself.   

If your web site is to be accessed through a domain name (www.jesuitnola.org) then the school or organization or parish must register this name through one of the online registration services such as Network Solutions or Register.com. Registering a domain name requires the appointment of an administrative, a technical and a billing contact. These contacts are responsible for the domain and are the only ones who are able to make changes to the domain that is registered. In addition to the contact information, the domain needs to be pointed toward a Domain Name Server (DNS).

Once the domain is registered, please contact the Archdiocesan Internet Group at 596-3064 or 596-6683 to advise of the registration. We will then create a pointer for the domain name to the Archdiocesan web server. If the domain name al-ready exists please contact Internet Services to get the BellSouth name servers that the domain name will need to be pointed. If there is no domain name a web site can be accessed through the Archdiocesan web site. Instead of typing www.jesuitnola.org to go to Jesuit's web site, if Jesuit did not have a domain name they could have been set up as www.archdiocese-no.org/Jesuit.
