Donations Now Being Accepted

        Sr. Mary Germaine Roussel, a Dominican Sister for sixty one years, served the Church in Louisiana as an educator in a number of capacities.  She played a vital role in the life of St. Joan of Arc School by serving as principal for twenty seven years.   At the time of her death, on October 4, 2004, she was the Pastoral Associate for Education at St. Joan of Arc School. 

        Her love of children, especially the little ones, inspired her to open our preschool.  It was her hope that one day we would have a permanent building on campus devoted to the preschool and kindergarten students. 

        Thanks to the generosity of her family, a fund was opened with the Catholic Foundation to provide the seed money for this vision to become a reality.  The fund currently has approximately $28,000.  The church and school are now ready to accept additional donations to be invested.  Envelopes for contributions to this fund are now included in bi-monthly mailings to St. Joan of Arc Church Parishioners.  Checks should be made payable to St. Joan of Arc and will be forwarded to the Catholic Foundation.
